UPCOMING EVENTS

OLYMPIAD

THE ARTS OLYMPIAD (2026)

The Arts Olympiad is an international art competition for children aged 8 to 12 organized by the International Child Art Foundation with one million participants from seventy countries. Each competition is four years long and it is held every four years. The competition includes the element of art and peace to encourage children around the world to use creativity and cooperation. This art program empowers students to avert declining creativity and rising obesity risks.

This year’s program encourages students to explore their creativity and confidence by creating original artwork based on the theme: “Myself as an Artist-Athlete” a self-portrait of the student engaged in a sport.

WORLD CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL

The World Children’s Festival is a three-day festival held every four years on the National Mall in Washington, DC for winners of the Arts Olympiad to participate. The festival includes over 50 performances and many art-related workshops. It also has sessions for the winners from different countries to co-create artworks with many adult artists.

Before the event, the Arts Olympiad winners from Washington, D.C. are asked to be ambassadors for the festival and exchange emails with international winners to welcome to the festival. The international winners are welcomed to the host families around the Washington area.

Children share ideas and work together during the three-day festival. On the last night of the festival, the celebratory dinner is held with all guests dressing in national attire.

XXXIII INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF FINE ARTS COLOR ART (ALL THE COLORS OF MUSIC)

The Color Art Festival is an annual event that has been taking place since 1990. It is a continuation of the International Festival of Children’s Art, under the patronage of Polish UNESCO Committee. Its goal is the widest possible promotion of all forms of children’s artistic creativity. We strive to ensure that the annual competition themes open up space for discussions and actions promoting respect for dignity, diversity, and equality. The theme of this year’s festival aligns strongly with the mission of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock, emphasizing the humanistic values of jazz as an important means of dialogue between people, fostering respect for human rights, and eliminating social discrimination.

We are happy to invite children and youth aged 6 to 17 to participate in the competition. We welcome submissions from individuals, educational institutions, and cultural organizations. Competition winners are invited to take part in a several-day seaside workshops led by artists.
