Diagnostik: Global Children’s Art Contest

Diagnostik: Global Children’s Art Contest

Diagnostik is Virtual collective of personal creations of young people between 11 to 18 years old, influenced and sensitized to the same social and historical phenomenon; the pandemic.

The theme of symbolic self-portraiture was expressed in various forms of expression; visual arts, media arts, drama and dance.

This project makes it possible to highlight the talent of young artists, influenced and sensitized to the same social and historical phenomenon; the pandemic.

DIAGNOSTIK is a poetic wink focused on what young people are experiencing in common in a significant given period. Ultimately, this site will bring together a gallery of autobiographical works and will also allow an overall appreciation of the feelings of each person presented to a large audience. It is through works of art that creators express what they feel; through their thoughts and convictions

Canada International Children’s Art Festival

Canada International Children’s Art Festival

The Canada International Children’s Art Festival aims to bring together children from all backgrounds through creative expression. The Festival hopes to encourage children to develop an interest in the arts by providing a public outlet through which they can express themselves. Art is a global language, and it is through this language that children can better engage with the world around them.

The Children’s Art Festival was previously known as the Canada International Children’s Art Exhibition, founded in 2002. In the past sixteen years, the exhibition has featured over 10,000 young artists aged 17 and under from across the world. The 2010 Canada International Children’s Art Festival will be the first to be held outdoors at Nathan Phillips Square as well as incorporating the many different facets of artistic expression.

The festival is organized by the Canada International Children’s Art Foundation.

2021 Canada International Children’s Art Festival Theme: Fair

Let all the children in the world have a sense of concern for the environment, love life, and be the master of the future, and express the beautiful world of their hearts through art. The festival’s theme this year, Fair, hopes to emphasize to children the need for a greener lifestyle.

Welcome to Peekok Summer Arts Camp, where the traditional summer camp experience combines with specialist arts programming to offer a summer experience like no other.

Our Arts Programs

During each session at Peekok, we offer at least 10 arts programs. Campers choose one specialty per session, and spend at least 4 hours on it daily. Every department is run by an experienced program director and accepts a maximum of 15 campers. With 1-2 counsellors assisting, this ensures plenty of individual attention. Most of our programs are open to all levels of skill and experience; while many of our campers hope to follow a career in the arts, others simply want to try something new.

Our arts programs emphasise process rather than product, to ensure maximum learning. However, all departments will engage in final day show, where they will exhibit all they have learnt. Presentations include exhibitions, live dance and theatre. Students will bring home a portfolio of all their works, family members are always invited to attend.

At the end of the session we display all your creativity in our website Gallery as we showcase your work to more than 10,000 visitors.

To learn more about Peekok Camp summer fine arts camp programs please call us at +234 8032599175, 080 68758860 and watch the video above to see why the Fine Arts is loved so much by our artists. You can request our Brochure Pack here.

2015 International Children’s Art Exhibit

2015 International Children’s Art Exhibit

“Since 2010, Peekok YouthARTS Initiatives has partnered with Creative Connections USA to facilitate the ArtLink exchanges among students in Nigeria and in the United States.

The 2015 ArtLink Theme is Picture the Moment, when the students were challenged to leave the technology behind and take out some brushes, markers, pencils, pastels, etc.  Using the medium of arts, to take time to thoughtfully capture a specific moment to share with their partners.
The moments they chose from include them with and the family members, classmates, friends, and community members taking part in an activity that reveals a cultural value that is particularly meaningful to them.

All artists have been invited to the 2015 International Children’s Art Exhibit and opening reception Maritime Aquarium’s IMAX Lobby, 10 North Water Street, Norwalk, CT USA on May 14 – Labor Day, 2015.

Selected pieces may also be taken to area classrooms, libraries, museums, etc. for exhibits and art workshops.”

DSWF Global Canvas Art Competitions 2014 now open!

We are now inviting entries for the 2013 Global Canvas Arts and Poetry competitions with the theme ‘It’s Our World.”.
This annual children’s competition is part of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s Art for Survival programme and was established in 2004 to encourage young people to express their concern for the environment, and in particular the endangered species with whom we share our fragile planet, through art and poetry.

All short-listed artists and poets will be invited to a special exhibition and prize given day at the Natural History Museum, London in March, 2014 with David Shepherd and Celebrity guests.

Program Director, Oluwanbe Amodu would be delighted to answer any questions about the competitions or come to your school to tell you about these wonderful competitions and how they link to the vital work of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.
We look forward to all your great ideas in both artwork and poetry.
